Domestic Rainwater Harvesting Tanks & Systems

Rainwater can be used to meet more than 50% of all domestic requirements. This includes toilet flushing, laundry, washing cars, watering gardens and indoor heating. This substantially reduces water bills and conserves limited groundwater resources. Rainwater harvesting also mitigates flooding in low lying areas while minimising soil erosion.

MP Tank Suppliers are leading providers of high quality domestic rainwater harvesting tanks and systems. Our tanks are made from highly resistant 100% virgin resin and glass, without any filler. This guarantees maximum strength of the tanks for a 50 year design life. Our systems can be designed to meet domestic requirements in dwellings of any size.

Domestic rainwater harvesting tanks and systems

We are experts at rainwater harvesting for all types of homes. Our systems are designed to provide clean and fresh water with constant pressure and uninterrupted flow. The harvesting systems consist of:

•Rainwater capture: Water drains from the roof into downpipes and tank inlet
•Water filter assembly: This stops debris, leaves and other contaminants from going into the tank
•Overflow: Allows excess unfiltered water to flow into drains, soakaway or streams
•Floating suction: This draws water into the pump
•Stainless steel pump: Pressure sensitive and dry run protected to guarantee constant supply to utilities
•Household controller: This controls the distribution of water to the home, and allows for mains water filling if levels are too low
•Underground conduit: Protects electrical cables and pipework to and from the tank

All our domestic rainwater harvesting tanks are supplied with manhole covers, seals, 3P automatic top-up controllers and floating intakes.

Domestic rainwater harvesting tanks specifications

We supply a range of tank sizes to suit your particular requirements. Tank sizes should be underestimated rather than overestimated. This permits overflow from the tank, which flushes out floating debris. Our rainwater harvesting systems are available as garden-only or home & garden systems.

The garden only system is used for outdoor water requirements such as sprinklers and car washing. The home & garden version supplies soft, limescale-free water for toilets and washing machines, as well as water for outdoor use.

Tank configurations:

•1500L-1600 x 1332 x1575 mm
•2800L-1870 x 2280 mm
